Khutor
In 1910, Community Doukhobors purchased a section farm in the present Veregin district of Saskatchewan. Descriptively named Khutor (Хутор) meaning “farmstead” or “small rural village” in Russian, it was a centre for raising purebred horses and cattle for communal purposes. Following the demise of the CCUB in 1937-1938, the farm settlement was disbanded. [SE13-30-1-W2] [51.59392° N - 102.01715° W]
